Develop Motions is the one-person video editing and motion graphics studio of Nathan Pleitt, based in Aurora, Illinois and working remotely with clients across the United States. The studio specializes in fitness and wellness content — turning raw workshop, course, and workout footage into polished, branded video people actually finish watching.
The story
Built around one flagship client, on purpose
Develop Motions grew out of deep work with a single on-demand Pilates video company — full post-production of their flagship instructor-training series, week after week, module after module. That kind of sustained collaboration teaches things a portfolio of one-off gigs never can: how fitness instruction actually flows, where viewers' attention drops, what makes an educational video feel effortless instead of exhausting.
Along the way, the studio built its own production pipeline — custom tools for animation, sound design, and quality control that make bespoke work repeatable. It's the reason a one-person studio can deliver 23 custom animated panels and 12 original transitions for a single series without a single stock template.
