The Pilates IT Factor: full post-production of a nine-module instructor-training series.
Develop Motions handled complete post-production for The Pilates IT Factor, an instructor-training workshop series produced by PFTV, an on-demand Pilates video company. Across nine modules, the studio delivered the edit, five custom animated characters, 23 animated overlay panels, 12 custom transitions, kinetic typography, 3D effects, and complete sound design.
The brief
Make a training course people actually finish
PFTV had hours of expert instruction on what makes a great Pilates teacher — teaching archetypes, vocal delivery, presence on camera. The risk with that much talking-head material is familiar to anyone who has bought an online course: attention fades, and the best insights slide past unmarked.
The job was to give every important idea a visual moment: characters that personify the teaching archetypes, animated panels that make concepts stick, transitions that keep momentum between sections, and sound design that makes the whole thing feel alive — without ever burying the instructor under effects.

How it was made
Craft plus systems
The edit runs on DaVinci Resolve Studio; 3D props and dimensional effects come out of Blender; and the animated panels and characters were built in a custom animation pipeline developed in-house — which is how one studio delivers 23 bespoke panels and 12 original transitions without template shortcuts.
Every module started with a timecoded effect plan: each visual idea mapped to an exact moment, reviewed with the client before anything was built. And restraint is part of the craft — the series' single dramatic zoom was saved for its emotional peak, the line "You are not one thing. You're not meant to be." When everything is emphasized, nothing is. Knowing where not to put an effect is most of the job.
